Beautiful fan project leaf painted in tempera and watercolor on fine leather depicting in the center a view of the Tiber at the height of Ponte and Castel Sant'Angelo with the basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican in the background enclosed by a beaded frame and all around refined grotesque decorations. Bottom left bears the title "Ponte S. Angelo". Within a French wooden frame and 19th century gilded stucco.

Roman school from the second half of the 18th century, attributable to the atelier of Tommaso Bigatti (active between 1770-1810) or Camillo Buti (1747-1808) both specialized in the production of fans and miniatures on fine leather.

Dimensions 32.5 x 15.5 cm - with frame cm 31 x 50.

Excellent condition commensurate with age.
