Beautiful and important French neoclassical style showcase / bookcase in satinwood with rounded sides. The upper part of the hat edged in green marble, chiseled and gilded bronze friezes and inlaid with lime blossom motifs. The lower part decorated with inlaid of palm leaf motif. The four panels at the bottom are decorated with an inlay of rare skill, in the two central four Muses, on the side doors military trophies with dancing female figures in the center. The uprights in the shape of columns with bronze capitals are inlaid in the central part with arrows and garlands. The bronzes are signed FB (Ferdinand Barbedienne 1810-1892).
