A late 18th cent. 1790ca 14ct gold ring of octagonal shape with a roman micromosaic set on copper representing an urn or amphora.

For its quality and use of that shape of tesserae on the outer border it can be attributed to the master mosaicist Giacomo Raffaelli (1753-1836) or his studio, active in Rome in the late 18th and the beginning of the 19th century.
