Micromosaic and gold chocker/belt buckle

Micromosaic and gold chocker/belt buckle

€0.00

A very rare piece of georgian jewelry, a belt or choker buckle, composed by three plaques of micromosaic set on blue glass with views of Tivoli mounted in yellow gold.

On the right the larger waterfall, in the center a ruin and on the left the so called Temple of Vesta.

Rome, early 19th century 1830 circa with French import hallmark.

Excellent condition commensurate with age.

This rare fashion accessory of the Georgian period was used by passing one or two satin or velvet ribbons into the loops on the back and then tie them behind the neck/waist.
